Current Projects 4th Street and 88th Street NE Corridor Improvements Project The Tulalip Tribes are planning access improvements to the 4th Street and 88th Street NE interchanges on the I-5 corridor within the boundary of the reservation. Past Projects I-5/116th Street NE Interchange Improvements Project A construction project of the Tulalip Tribes, in cooperation with WSDOT, Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Snohomish County, and the city of Marysville. The improvements to the I-5/116th Street NE Interchange will be made in phases, in the current phase new bridge deck is being constructed. Once complete the new interchange will reduce congestion, increase safety and support economic development in Snohomish county and in the vicinity of the Tulalip Tribes and the City of Marysville. QCC Casino Road Improvements The Roadway Project includes the construction of intersection and roadway improvements on Marine Drive between 31st Avenue NE and 33rd Avenue NE. This will include; a multi-lane roundabout at the intersection of Marine Drive NE and 31st Avenue NE, a compact roundabout at the intersection of 62nd Place NE and 31st Avenue NE, 260 feet of roadway widening between 62nd Place NE and Marine Drive along 31st Avenue NE, and 480 feet of roadway widening south of Marine Drive NE along 33rd Avenue NE. Qwuloolt Estuary Restoration Project A project of the Tulalip Tribes, with representatives from the Tulalip Tribes of Washington, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Washington Department of Ecology (WDOE), US Army Corps of Engineers, Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and the City of Marysville. Other partners include the Snohomish Basin Salmon Recovery Forum, the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Puget Sound Partnership and Sound Transit. This project will return natural hydrologic processes to the ecosystem, thereby initiating the restoration of estuarine habitat at Qwuloolt, as manifested by the re-establishment of associated native salmon, wildlife and plant communities. Tidal Benchmarks Project A project of the Tulalip Tribes Community Development, in cooperation with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and Snohomish County to restore and establish certified tidal benchmarks. Tulalip Water Pipeline Project The Tulalip Water Pipeline Project is a project of the Tulalip Tribes, in cooperation with the City of Everett, through the Joint Water Pipeline Board to construct a 7.5 mile-long water transmission pipeline between the Tulalip Reservation and Everett.
